JOB OPPORTUNITIES ANNOUNCEMENT

Millennium Child Support Group (MCSG) is pleased to announce job opportunities for qualified individuals to support its School Feeding Program in the Upper West Region of Ghana. This program is funded by the ECOWAS Commission as part of its commitment to promoting food security, nutrition, and academic success for underprivileged children.

Available Positions:

1. Program Manager

Location: Upper West Region

Contract Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the overall implementation of the School Feeding Program
  • Coordinate with schools, community stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of food
  • Monitor and report on program outcomes to MCSG and ECOWAS Commission
  • Manage field staff and ensure compliance with the program’s objectives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Project Management, Nutrition, or related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing large-scale community or educational programs
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience working with donor-funded programs is an advantage

2. Field Coordinators (2 Positions)

Location: Upper West Region (various districts)

Contract Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with local schools and community groups to coordinate food deliveries
  • Ensure proper storage and distribution of food supplies at designated schools
  • Monitor the day-to-day operations of the feeding program in the field
  • Report regularly to the Program Manager

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, or related fields
  • 3 years of experience in community-based work or field coordination
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in rural and remote areas

3. Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Location: Upper West Region

Contract Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an M&E framework for the School Feeding Program
  • Collect, analyze, and report data on program performance and impact
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for MCSG and ECOWAS Commission
  • Work closely with field staff to ensure program goals are met

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, or related field
  • 3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation for development projects
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools
  • Strong report-writing and presentation skills

4. Procurement and Logistics Officer

Location: Upper West Region

Contract Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Handle procurement and logistics for food supplies and program materials
  • Ensure transparent and cost-effective procurement processes
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Oversee the transportation and delivery of goods to schools

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement/logistics
  • Knowledge of procurement processes in donor-funded projects
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills
  • General Requirements for All Positions:
  • Passion for improving children’s welfare and community development
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel to rural and remote areas

Millennium Child Support Group (MCSG), a leading non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and empowering vulnerable children and marginalized women, is seeking qualified professionals to join its Ending Violence Against Women (EVAW) initiative. This initiative aims to combat all forms of violence against women through advocacy, education, and support services across communities in Ghana.

Available Positions:

1. Program Coordinator – EVAW Initiative

Location: Kumasi, with frequent travel to rural communities

Contract Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the EVAW initiative
  • Develop partnerships with local government bodies, NGOs, and community-based organizations to support the initiative
  • Coordinate awareness-raising campaigns and community engagement activities on gender-based violence
  • Ensure the effective management of resources allocated to the EVAW project

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Work, Human Rights, or related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing gender-based violence or women’s rights programs
  • Strong understanding of national and international frameworks on gender equality and women’s rights
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

2. Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Specialist

Location: Accra, with travel to project sites

Contract Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response strategies
  • Develop and implement GBV response frameworks, including referral pathways and survivor support systems
  • Train and mentor staff on GBV prevention, survivor care, and case management
  • Work closely with local authorities, healthcare providers, and law enforcement to strengthen GBV response services
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of GBV programs and suggest improvements

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Work, Psychology, or related field with a focus on GBV
  • At least 5 years of experience in GBV prevention and response programs
  • Proven expertise in survivor-centered care and trauma-informed approaches
  • Experience working with rural or marginalized communities and engaging local stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of GBV laws, policies, and referral systems in Ghana

3. Community Outreach Officers (3 Positions)

Location: Various regions (Northern, Upper West, and Central regions)

Contract Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct community outreach and education on gender-based violence prevention and response
  • Facilitate workshops and training programs for local leaders, youth groups, and women’s groups
  • Collaborate with local authorities to provide victim support services
  • Identify and report cases of violence against women, providing referrals to legal and psychological support services

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, or related fields
  • 3 years of experience in community-based work, particularly in women’s rights or violence prevention
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse community groups
  • Willingness to work in rural and underserved areas

4. Legal Officer

Location: Accra, with some travel to project sites

Contract Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal aid and advice to survivors of gender-based violence
  • Assist in filing legal cases and advocate for survivors in court
  • Work closely with the EVAW team to ensure victims’ rights are protected
  • Liaise with law enforcement and judicial bodies to ensure the prosecution of violence-related cases

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, with a specialization in Human Rights or Gender Law preferred
  • Licensed to practice law in Ghana
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal advocacy, particularly in women’s rights or human rights cases
  • Strong understanding of legal frameworks related to gender-based violence

5. Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer

Location: Upper West

Contract Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an M&E framework to track the progress and impact of the EVAW initiative
  • Collect and analyze data on project activities and outcomes
  • Prepare regular reports on project performance for internal use and donor reporting
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations for program adjustments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field
  • 3 years of experience in M&E for social development or women’s rights programs
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools
  • Strong report-writing and analytical skills
  • General Requirements for All Positions:
  • A passion for gender equality and women’s rights
  • Ability to work independently and in diverse, multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Commitment to working in underserved communities to end violence against women
