Why we do this?

We're Christians and we believe Jesus makes a clear call to "provide a cup of cold water" and to answer the needs of those who say "I am thirsty" (Matt 25).

That said, it's important to note that we work is for everyone. Our belief motivates our action. It doesn't limit our reach. It forms the basis of our integrity and the assurance that lives can be truly changed.

We work hard to help you help others. Our goal is to make sure your generous gifts are put to the best possible use. We want to see lives changed through hope restored.

Millennium Child Support Group is providing clean drinking water through digging of wells in the remote villages and communities. We are also bringing the Living Water by taking the Gospel into areas it has never been before.

The Water Project - How It Works

People are suffering needlessly without clean water. We’re working to change that... with your help! The Water Project funds both the technical assistance and supplies needed for communities to build wells, small dams, rain catchments systems and/or water filters.

Type of Projects We Support

Different communities, in different locations require various types of water projects to meet their needs. For many, a well is most practical and efficient. For others, rain collection or simple home-based water filters make more sense. Our partners work hard to ensure the right solution for each project is used.

Hand Pumps
Millennium Child Support Group a critical part of each the well project is the installation and maintenance of the hand pumps attached to the well. It's vital that we ensure each hand pump is functioning 100% of the time.
The "Water Pump" is a common location for community members to congregate and socialize with one another. Most often you will find women and children gathered by the pump - filling containers, washing, and playing.

The Millennium Child Support Group team not only drills the well, but before the installation of the hand pump, it provides each site with a concrete apron or foundation to ensure the lasting performance of the hand pump. This also protects the ground water from any contamination.
We have established inventory systems to ensure we always have hand pumps and spare parts on hand. We’ve recorded GPS coordinates on all wells and pumps since the beginning of the project.
Some members of the

Millennium Child Support Group teams are specifically trained in hand pump installation and repair. After a hand pump has been installed, we provide training in correct usage of the pump to the village team responsible for the pump. That team, in turn, teaches the rest of the village.

We follow up routinely with the village to make sure the well and pump is functioning properly.

We can help thousands of children in Africa to stay in school this year. Your gift of $1.50 a day or $ 45 a month will provide safe water for a student and her family during critical years of learning and development. Will you help?
